Most of us track sleep, steps, and productivity, yet rarely measure the air in the room where we spend most of the day.

Closed windows let CO₂ build up. Furniture, paint, flooring, and cleaning products can release VOCs and formaldehyde. Cooking and dust add fine particles.

Most of these are invisible, and CO₂ has no smell, so changes usually go unnoticed unless you measure them.

What each reading means, and what to do about it

A number is only useful if you know what to do with it.

Carbon dioxide (CO₂)

A gas we breathe out. It rises in closed, occupied rooms and is a handy sign of stale air.

Try: open a window or improve ventilation when it climbs.

Carbon monoxide (CO)

A gas produced when fuel burns incompletely, for example in gas appliances and stoves.

Note: information only. Keep a separate CO alarm certified to BS EN 50291.

TVOC and formaldehyde

Vapours released by paint, furniture, flooring and cleaning products, especially when new.

Try: ventilate after decorating, and after cleaning.

Particles: PM0.3 to PM10

Tiny solids in the air. The smaller they are, the longer they stay airborne and the deeper they can be breathed in.

Try: use an extractor when cooking, and consider an air purifier.

Temperature and humidity

They affect comfort, and very damp air can encourage mould.

Try: ventilate or dehumidify if a room stays damp.

Air quality index (AQI)

One number and a colour that sum up the room, so you can judge it at a glance.

Frequently asked questions

What does 15-in-1 mean?

11 air and climate readings (AQI, temperature, humidity, CO₂, CO, TVOC, formaldehyde, PM0.3, PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10) plus clock, alarm, timer and stopwatch functions.

Is it a carbon monoxide alarm?

Treat the CO reading as information only, not as a safety alarm. In any room with a fuel-burning appliance, use a separate CO alarm certified to BS EN 50291.

How accurate is it?

The Atmosense Pro measures CO₂ accurately within ±50 PPM ±5% across a 400-5000 PPM range, and fine particulates (PM0.3 through PM10) within ±10 µg/m³. Full sensor ranges and tolerances are listed in the table above.

Does it work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. The display shows your readings and the clock without Wi-Fi. You need Wi-Fi and the app for remote viewing, history curves and automations.

Does it require a subscription?

No. The Tuya Smart and Smart Life apps are free.

Can it run on battery power?

Yes. It has a built-in 2000mAh rechargeable lithium battery (providing up to 8 hours of unplugged detection) and charges via USB-C.

Can I mount it on a wall?

Yes. It includes a rear wall bracket and can also stand freely on any flat surface or desk.
